We truly care

It is important to us that we do all we can to minimise our impact on the environment.

Packaging

All our labels and packaging are designed to be recycled and we have stopped the use of self-adhesive labels, plastic end caps and are close to ending the use of staples in all packaging.

We have also substantially reduced our paper usage in our packaging, by printing product instructions on the reverse of our labels.

We are a member of WRAP.

Operations

Our operations in the UK and China have also been adapted to be kinder to the environment. In Salford, our head office has been renovated to significantly increase its energy efficiency, whilst in Suzhou our employees travel to work on a fleet of over 50 electric bikes.

Our group in China are working in partnership with our sub contractors to reduce cardboard by issuing returnable plastic boxes. This scheme is called ‘BACK 2 BACK’ and had been in operation for over two years. It has saved hundreds of cardboard boxes per month.

We vet all our suppliers to ensure they meet our high environmental standards and constantly review our delivery network to minimise our use of road transportation.

The future

In the future we also plan to use paperless ordering and billing across all accounts and re-use or recycle 100% of the cardboard and packaging we receive.
